Do you want to go and see the movie? I’m a little scared and undecided. What reasons would you use to convince me to go or not? |
Yes! I really want to see the movie! Reasons: It looks really good! We usually watch at least a bit of the movie we read and…and….its just gonna be awesome! we gotsta watch it! |

I would like to see the movie. Watching the movie allows you to see how someone else interpreted the book. One of the fun things with watching a book turn movie is to compare and contrast the differences from the book and movie. One thing I look forward to the movie is to see how the director contrast the cannibalistic people from the man and the boy. I would advise someone who is afraid to watch it to realize it is just a movie and nothing in it is real. |

I really want to see the movie! I want to see it because we could compare the book and movie and discuss what parts were different and why they might be….. |

We definitely need to see this movie!!! It would be interesting to compare the movie to the book and see what the director decided to keep or change for the film. Plus, there are also a good bit of scenes and elements from the book that I would love to see on the big screen such as the confrontation with the “diesel truck” men, the basement scene, and even the landscape in general. Yes, it will be extremely dark and have some violence, but again it is only a movie… |

Nothing would be better than watching the Road with a large Coke in hand. :) |

I REALLY want to see the movie! it looks so good, and i think it will make a lot more sense to us b/c we have read the book and studied it. |
And we can see our ideas of the themes come together in a motion picture. And on our book it says it will be a a MAJOR motion picture. And after the movie we can discuss in a circle about our ideas and thoughts. And we can compare and contrast the movie to the book. |

i think that it would be an exstreamly beneficial lerning exspirience to sum up our studies with a visual reforence like the movie. i highly recomend it’s feild trip status. |
I definitely want to see it. I’m excited to see how the directors interpret the book. |
i think it would be really cool to see the movie! I want to see how different or similar the movie is to what I think it is like in my head…for example the setting |
This would be an amazing field trip! It’s always fun to see a movie that’s based on a book you’ve read because you can see what parts of the book the director found important compared to your own. It would be interesting to see how someone else envisioned the scenes and the characters. WE MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!! |
I think it would be great to go see the movie as a group. I would rather go with a bunch of people who have read the book, especially since we’ve all been talking about it. Plus the movie could answer some of the questions we’ve had. |

I think that seeing the movie is a very good idea. Although sometimes movies do not live up to the novels they are based on, they give you an opportunityto see how someone else interprets the themes, setting, characters, etc.. When going to see “The Road” those who have read the book could also take note of whether the director of the film included important symbolism and elements that were in the book, such as minimal speech, and flashbacks. |
